Mailbox of Goodies

After my #*@!(!! day (yes, it has been escalated from "Grumpy" to "#*@!(!!") at least I had a somewhat decent Mailbox of Goodies waiting for me.  I got an issue from my free Parenting magazine subscription, a Lancaster Cellular Elixir sample, and a free poster from the Museum of Science and Industry.  I can't seem to find the link for the poster request again - sorry!

It was also a small payday, since I got my $1.99 Excedrin rebate check, and my $3.99 Spot Shot rebate.  I bought the Excedrin at CVS with a $2/1 printable, so it was a moneymaker.  The Spot Shot is also a moneymaker since I bought it during a double coupon day at Kmart.  It was $3.99, so after my doubled $1/1 off I paid $1.99 for it.  This brings my total extra "income" for the month up to $76.76.

My last goodie came as a result of the Amazon.com Huggies mess.  I don't even want to think about the amount of time that I wasted on the phone with Amazon.com and DAB Nutrition (the merchant), but the last time I was on the phone with DAB Nutrition, they offered me a product as compensation.  I really appreciate it even though I really don't have a need for 14 bars of soap, but you can't buy my business.  The thing that surprised me the most was that they didn't even bother to write a quick "sorry" note to include in the package.  But okay...whatever.

I've already ranted and steamed for the day, but coming up this week (when I'm not busy force feeding my child), I will be writing out a summary of what happened with the Amazon.com Huggies mess and the recent Target Britax fiasco, and I will be telling you what you can do about it if you're in the same boat.  I KNOW I'm not the only person that they did this to, so if we just all band together and submit the same complaint to the same places...someone will listen.  Companies need to get the message that it is NOT okay to falsely advertise a product and trick their "valued customers".

Check out my Freebie Frenzy post of the day, as well as my recently updated incoming freebies list and received freebies listing.

Mailbox of Goodies

Today was an awesome Mailbox of Goodies.  My poor mail-man probably had quite the experience lugging all the stuff to my door step in 30º weather.  One of my goodies is a secret, but I can share the rest of them with you.  I am SO deliriously happy that I received my BabbaCover Snuggle Fleece car seat cover that I splurged on.  I first told you about this in my mid month budget round-up.  It couldn't have arrived at a better time, considering the high for tomorrow is 34º, and winds are going up to 15 mph.

My second AWESOME goodie came courtesy of Soapbox Mama - I won the "Sleep n' Grow" Itsy Bitsy Yoga DVD.  I tried it out this afternoon with the little princess, and she absolutely loved it.

Now, onwards to the regular freebies in my Mailbox.  I received 2 free magazines, Elle Decor and Metropolitan Home.  I really love these free magazine subscriptions that I get, because otherwise I would never read a magazine in my life!  They are a nice little treat, and I love to keep them in the bathrooms or on the coffee table.  They give the impression that I'm NOT stuck in my house living under a rock.

I also received my Internet Safety Kit today.  I can't wait to read up on this - I think now that the Internet is such a common part of our everyday lives, we tend to forget some basic safety tips.  In the future, I plan on putting together a little segment on Internet Safety.  Stay tuned!

Have you checked out my Freebies Galore today?

Mailbox of Goodies

Before I start, let me say that there will not be a Freebie Frenzy posting today. There's only one notable freebie to share today, so I will save that and add it to morrow's listing (hopefully tomorrow is a better freebie day).

Today's Mailbox of Goodies was a welcomed change from my normally pathetic Mailbox. I got a sample of Post-It's Self-Stick Wall Pad. I honestly didn't know how they were going to mail it - I thought it was going to be a coupon for a free product or something. Instead they mailed it in this triangular tube thingy, so right now the wall pad is spending some time under my coffee table to be smoothened out.

Chloe and Chip also got something in the mail today - a sample of Pet Greens treats that they just gobbled up. It also came with a $0.50/1 coupon good at PetCo only. We might just have to take advantage of that coupon, considering when I opened the sample pack the treats smelled so good I wanted to eat one!

My next two freebies were completely unrequested surprise. CVS is really trying to get on my good side these days...I received a surprise $1/1 coupon for any bag of TrueNorth. Gymboree also sent me something. Apparently they're handing
out $25 Gymbucks for all Gymboree members. It's basically $25 off any purchase of $50. I can't say that I'm too overly excited about this, considering I still have to spend $25 at Gymboree and I can't even use
it until January, and only during a 10 day period. But a freebie is a freebie, and you can't complain!

I have updated my received freebies list accordingly, but please note that the free sample offer might be over by now. It's not uncommon for samples to take a month or two in transit, but it is a safer alternative if you're worried about releasing your information. There is also the incoming freebies listing, but that carries a certain amount of risk. I never intentionally try to scam you or anything, but I'm just human and I make mistakes. I will never list anything on my incoming freebies list that I did not request myself, so know that at least I trust them enough with my personal information.

Anyway, check out my recently updated listing of received freebies.

Mailbox of Goodies

Not much in my Mailbox of Goodies today.  Just another issue from my free 6 month subscription to U.S. News from RewardsGold.  I also got 2 boxes of Gerber disposable nursing pads, courtesy of their 100% satisfaction guarantee.

I had bought a box of ultra-thin disposable nursing pads a while back, but after a while I had to stop using them.  They had no stickies on the back, so they just kept sliding all over the place.  It wasn't because they were too thin - if only they would stay put!

Well, I was on the phone with Gerber on Saturday morning to ask them about their different types of food, and before I hung up I figured I'd just ask them about their satisfaction guarantee.  The box was half-used, and I didn't even have the store receipt, so I wasn't expecting much.  To my surprise, they just asked for my name and address, what I didn't like about them, and offered to send me coupons to make up for the price of box.  When I asked them if they carried other types of nursing pads with stickies on them, the representative I talked to was nice enough to offer me two sample boxes.

I'm more than happy with this "freebie".  Nursing pads are one of the "hidden costs" of babies, and you go through them really quickly too.  I've considered getting those washable nursing pads, but I just haven't had the time to research them.  Besides, that'll require that I do laundry, so maybe in the end it's better if I just stick with disposable.  I haven't tried these new pads out yet, but I can't wait to use them and I'm pretty sure that they'll be fine.

Be sure to check out my Freebie Frenzy for the day!

Mailbox of Goodies

My Mailbox of Goodies is starting to perk up again!  Today I received a $3.99 check from the Zout rebate that I submitted. I bought it at Walgreens back in October when it was on a B1G1 sale for $3.99.  I had a $0.55/1 coupon, so my total was $3.76 with tax.  It's a small money-maker, plus I get two free bottles of Zout.

On the topic of Walgreens, I received a notification that my October rebates have been credited to my giftcard.  Technically this isn't money in my mailbox because it was just a postcard letting me know that it was done, but it's still nice to know that $85 was added to your card.  If you're interested in the details, you can view my Walgreens October Scoresheet here.

Other than the money, I received 2 freebies in my mailbox today.  One was a cute little Unity 2009 calendar, and the other was my coupon for a free bottle of Country Bob's all-purpose sauce.  I love all these calendar offers that come around at the end of the year - I don't like the huge crazy planners, but I have way too much going on to fit into a small calendar, so I often have a separate calendar for separate events.  One for baby-related stuff, one for bills, another for random crap, and I'll probably start one for blog-related matters this year.  I love organizational tools that are free.

Oh, and I included my free 8x10 from Walgreens in my Mailbox of Goodies picture, but since I picked it up at the store today on our way to Gymboree it doesn't really count.  But I love free pictures and I just had to share.

Don't forget to check out the teeny tiny Freebie Frenzy of the day.  It's nothing special, but it's better than nothing!

Mailbox of Goodies: WENDY'S!

Saturday is still a mail day, but for some reason I never expect a large Mailbox of Goodies on a Saturday.  I'm still suffering from my freebie-requesting hiatus, so I only got three pieces of mail today, and two of those were junk...but the third was FOOD!  I LOVE food delivered to my door.  Well, it was sorta food.  It was a giftcard that can be redeemed for yummy food.

I was one of the lucky winners in the Wendy's Twisted Frosty Giveaway that I found out about from Freebies 4 Mom.  I'm really bad at playing sweeps because I just never remember (or feel like) entering them everyday.

Even with my bad sweeps-playing habit, I still managed to be one of the 10,000 winners and received a $3 Wendy's gift-card.  The sweeps was for a free Frosty so in all reality I was just expecting a coupon for a free Frosty, so I was surprised to received a gift-card!  I can technically use this towards ANYTHING at Wendy's, but Frostys are really the only thing I tend to get there anyway.  Not that I'll be getting one anytime soon, considering it's currently 41° out and getting colder by the second.

Don't forget to check out my Freebie Frenzy for the day (with 2 correction announcements)!

Mailbox of Goodies: PAYDAY!

I just LOVE it when I get money in my Mailbox of Goodies.  The ultimate goody is cold hard cash!  I received a $20 check from SurveySpot today.  I had JUST gotten a $6 check from them in September, so in about a month and a half I've made $20 doing absolutely nothing.  I was actually surprised when I checked out my SurverySpot profile on a whim - their cash-out amount is at $5, but I didn't really do that many surveys!

I get at least two emails from them a day with invitations to surveys, but I only complete the ones that offer cash rewards.  Obviously I don't qualify for every single one, but since their cash-out amount is at $5 without any processing fees, it's not really an issue.

Surveys take maybe 5 minutes (if even), and most pay around $2 or $3.  If you're looking for some easy extra income, SurveySpot is the way to go.  This $20 check brings my total "extra" income for November up to $59.01, combined with the $39.01 check from Inbox Dollars.

I didn't expect any freebies in my Mailbox since I'm still coming off my freebie-hiatus due to the blog redesign, but I did get some coupons from Earth's Best for baby food and the like.  We're actually going out for baby food tonight and this weekend, so these coupons came just in time.  Granted, $1/12 jars of baby food isn't a lot, but every single bit helps.

For your daily fix of free stuff, be sure to see my Freebie Frenzy here!

Mailbox of Goodies

I'm not expecting too much in my Mailbox of Goodies these days, considering that I did take somewhat of a 2 week hiatus from freebie gathering and requesting.

Today I received some coupons for Recycline Preserve products.  Sage and Savvy gave them away as part of the Recycline giveaway last week.  I really like these products, so I hope I will be able to find them at a store near me.  They're good until the end of March though, so there's no rush.

I also received a free sample from Huni.  They are sample packs of day and night moisturizers, and as far as I can tell they are still available if you join the Huni club.  They WILL take a while to get to you though, considering that they are sent all the way from Hong Kong!

That's my teeny little Mailbox of Goodies today.  Check out today's Freebie Frenzy and join me in beefing up my Mailbox of Goodies (again)!

Mailbox of Goodies: PAYDAY

My Mailbox of Goodies has been disappointing the past couple of days, but honestly, that is to be expected since I did take about a two week long break from requesting freebies.  But today, I got a nice little surprise...my Inbox Dollars check arrived!  I requested it at the end of September, and while I had $42.01 in earnings, there was a $3 processing fee so I only got a check for $39.01.

This is my first check from Inbox Dollars, but now I am a Gold Member and my checks will be processed on a weekly basis instead of a monthly schedule.  I wish they would do away with the $3 fee instead, but it's something I can live with, considering I'm getting money for doing next to nothing.  You can read all about how I earned the $39 here.

To be completely honest with you, since I requested my check more than a month ago I have not been able to do anything more with Inbox Dollars than read the emails that they have sent me.  You receive $0.02 per email, so although I've read 99 emails, my total earnings come out to $1.98.  The emails take less than a minute of my time though, so I'm not too concerned.  However, the Gold Membership has really helped out with my earnings, because I have $4.25 from referrals.  I literally do NOTHING to get these gold membership referrals - when someone signs up without a referral, a random Gold Member is automatically selected (and credited) as referring them.

Once things calms down a bit, I plan on dedicating an afternoon to signing up for some free trial offers.  Before long, I'll be able to request another check (cash-out is at $30).  Inbox Dollars is certainly NOT what I would recommend if you need cash tomorrow, but if you don't mind waiting and doing minimal work, it's a fine program.  Click here to sign up TODAY under my referral link, and I will be very grateful for the extra help in getting to my next $30!

Mailbox of Goodies: triumphant return!

It's a glorious and triumphant return for my beloved Mailbox of Goodies, along with a brand new Mailbox to go along with the new design.  And surprise...the new design will (finally) be up and kicking by this weekend at the latest.  I know I've given possible times before, but I have 120% confidence that this time around things will go just as planned. But for now, enjoy this Mailbox of Goodies and the new button.

Today I received 5 free magazines: THREE copies of American Baby and Family Circle.  This is the second time that it has happened, and I have made my second call to request that they stop wasting paper and sending me 3 copies of the same magazine.  We'll see what happens next month.

I also received my sample from 3-step sample from Murad as well a sample of Christina Aguilera's Inspire fragrance.  And last but not least, I received a packet of baby goodies addressed to my husband.  Nothing really of value in there, except for maybe the Sears coupon and some Gerber coupons.  This is the 3rd identical pack that we've received in my husband's name.  Maybe they have some type of tracking device on these coupons and they know we're not using them so they keep sending more...?  Sorry, paranoia-self kicking in.  I'll beat her back now.

I will no longer be sharing freebies in my Mailbox of Goodies.  Instead freebies will be featured in a section of their own called "Freebie Frenzy".  That will come later, because right now my baby is peacefully sleeping and I need to run off to get some training in with my precious Chloe dog.  That "Freebie Frenzy" post is coming though, and I can't wait to design a new button and share some freebies with you all!

Mailbox of Goodies: catch-up edition

I have TWO huge Mailbox of Goodies to share today...one from yesterday and one from today.  My time these days are extremely short since I'm working overtime to bring the new My Precious Pennies online as soon as possible, but one of the things that I would like to keep doing during this busy time is my daily Mailbox of Goodies.  No promises, but I'll try!

Monday's Mailbox of Goodies

My Mailbox on Monday was HUGE.  My poor mail-man couldn't even get everything in!  I got loads of free reading material (CountryHome magazine, Good Housekeeping, U.S. News, & 2 more pamphlets from the government), but I also got a good share of freebies as well.  I received my Walmart Cottonelle sample that came with a cute paw-shaped $1/1 coupon, as well as my Walmart Nicorette white that came with a $10/1 coupon.

It was also a small payday, because I received my $10 rebate check from the Kellogg's Back to School rebate.  This rebate is actually a $7 moneymaker, since I got the required products from the Target Pop Tart deal back in the beginning of September.  It's an even better deal since we got a free book from the pop tarts that we bought to send in for the rebate.

A note on the informational pamphlets from the government - if you request a whole bunch, they could send them out in shifts.  I got a big package on Wednesday, and they are STILL trickling in.

Today's Mailbox of Goodies

Today I received two other envelopes containing stuff from my original order of informational pamphlets. I do wish they would have just combined everything so I can get it all at once instead of in shifts.  Oh well, can't complain too much about freebies!  Anyway, I also received my free sample of fruit roll-ups, my Shell 2008 Ferrari stickers, and a sample of Calvin Klein's Secret Obsession.

Tonight is Petsmart's Howl-a-ween party, so we will be taking the mutts in their costume.  Chloe is going as an angel (she is graduating from her obedience class tomorrow) and Chip is going as a devil (he's starting class next week).  I'm running extremely tight on time, so I don't have any freebies to share right now.  If I have a spare moment tonight, I will be sure to do a short little freebie round-up.

Mailbox of Goodies: giveaway winner

We were out for most of the day yesterday and we've got lots to do today (like go make money and get free stuff at CVS), but I wanted to do a quick run-down of my Mailbox of Goodies from yesterday, and also share the Coupons for Troops giveaway winner.

The winner of the Coupons for Troops giveaway is #11, which happens to be Melissa.  Congratulations to Melissa!

As for goodies that I received yesterday, I got my Pantene sample from P&G that came with a $1/1 Tide coupon, believe it or not.  It was a personalized sample with my name on the cover and everything, so I got to feel special for a few minutes.  I also received my Eukanuba Puppy Training Kit that came with a $5/1 coupon.  I'm excited about the $5 coupon since it's good for ANY bag of Eukanuba dog food so I can maximize my savings.  Don't forget that you can also get a booklet of 6 $5/1 coupons for Eukanuba's Naturally Wild dog food.

Unfortunately, the next discovery in my mailbox was an unpleasant one.  I received a bill from All You subscription services that stated that my account was "past due", although I signed up for the subscription through their advertised "2 free trial issues" offer on their website and have yet to receive my second trial issue. This is the third bill that I have received, but I haven't even received my second trial issue yet!  This is completely absurd and I immediately contacted the company via their website with my complaint and requesting that they cancel my subscription.  They canceled my subscription, and their explanation for this pathetic mess was that when I signed up for a trial, they enter an order in the system just as if I was signing up for the subscription without a trial.  Meaning bills start immediately.  Maybe I'm just too much of a ditz to truly get it, but when I saw "free trial issues", I assumed they were...well...free.  The "you don't pay money" kind of free, and you decide after your trial is over whether or not you want a subscription.  Not the "we'll hound you with bills before you even receive your trials" kind of free.  All You is an awesome magazine, but I can't say that I'm too much of a fan of their subscription department.  I'll just be getting them from Walmart, thank you very much.

I'm sorry that I don't have any freebies to announce today, but we're already running behind schedule.  We're off to CVS, Bath & Body Works, and the Pumpkin Patch today.  It's a major haul at CVS this week, and I need to go to Bath & Body Works to build my Lambie army.  Those of you who have been following me on Twitter might have an inkling of what I'm talking about, but for the rest of you I will be sure to explain this bizarre concept of a Lambie army upon my return.

Have an awesome Sunday!

Mailbox of Goodies: $93!!

Today was an AWESOME Mailbox of Goodies. I received my Walgreens September EasySaver Rebate giftcard for $85.12. My rebates totaled $77.37, and while I would have loved to deposit a check in that mount, I decided to get a giftcard as an investment. The gift card bonus is 10%, and that's a LOT more than any other type of investment will yeild!

Besides the $7.75 bonus, this is a huge money maker for me since I double-dipped and took full advantage of the $/$$ coupons. Thanks to my budget, I know how much I spent at Walgreens in the month of September, but some of those transactions were RR stuff and other non-rebate items, so I'm not sure how much I spent on rebate

I also received my Just for Men mail-in rebate for $8. I bought it at CVS in the middle of September, and you can see that transaction here. I spent a total of $8.22 (used $7.99 ECBs & paid $0.47 OOP) but got back $8.99 in ECBs. Just the transaction itself with a small moneymaker, but now that I've received my rebate this is officially a money maker!

Walgreens apparently heard about my dissatisfaction with them today and their sliding position in the battle for my undying love, so they sent me this $3/1 formula coupon. Except the princess doesn't take formula! HA! But you do get brownie points for trying though, Walgreens. Okay, fine...I guess the $85 giftcard gets a bit of .

Okay, back on subject now. I received my Land O Lakes Holiday Classics recipe brochure. I can't wait to try some of their recipes, they seem absolutely delish. It also came with a $0.55/1 coupon, which will be a GREAT help because when hubby cooks he goes through 59 sticks of butter.

I saved my best non-money freebie for last (I them, but I justmore). Last week I won a set of notecards from Laura at VPG Printing over twitter. If you haven't done so already, you should really follow her on twitter so you can keep an eye out for all of her twitter-only specials and freebies! I love my set of notecards - thanks Laura!

If you're looking for your daily dose of freebies, I have an even better offering for you - a huge post of freebies, steals, deals, rebates, giveaways...and then some! Enjoy!

Mailbox of Goodies: better late than never

I posted an announcement earlier in the day warning that my Mailbox of Goodies will be late due to a full day of errands, but I never anticipating it being this late.  I went way behind schedule and was out a LOT later than I expected, but the good news is that I had a great Mailbox of Goodies waiting for me when I got home to my cold and dark house.  Sorry Chloe, I'll remember to leave the light on next time.  But seriously now, how do you expect to become a guard dog if you're scared of the dark, you big old brat?

Anyway, I received five freebies, but one was a weird repeat.  Walmart sent me two of their Pledge multi-surface wipes.  The pledge multi-surface wipes are on my "incoming freebies" list twice, but one is from Start Sampling.  Today both envelopes said "Walmart", although they were different envelopes and looked different, they were from the same place and contained the exact same freebie, each with a $1/1 coupon.  Weird.  But I can live with double freebies.

I also got my Crest Whitening Expressions sample from Walmart that came with a useful $1/1 coupon.  The sample came in the cutest package - I was expecting a small sample tube of toothpaste, but instead I received the same packets that shampoo and conditioner normally comes in.  From the manufacturer's standpoint, it's a lot cheaper to send out tiny packets, but they're just so cute and perfect for one-time use!

My dad was recently diagnosed with diabetes and has to test his blood once a day, so I ordered a set of free skins for the Accu-Check tester for him.  But it turns out that he doesn't use the Accu-Check...oopsies.  But not to worry, I'll find someone to give them to...maybe I'll buy an Accu-Check when it's "free" and donate it along with the skins.

The next freebie is kind of weird.  It's from P&G, and contained a sample of pull-ups with a $2/1 coupon.  My daughter is 5 months old!!!  I have no idea in the world why they sent me a pull-up sample when I didn't even request it.  Thanks for the freebie, but I'm definately not going to hang onto it for a year or two though...!

Now for my favorite freebies of the day.  It's rare that I have a tie, but I really do!  The tie is between my $100 AT&T visa giftcard, and my giveaway prize from Oopsie Dazie and Thrifty & Chic Mom.  It's rather late now so I couldn't try the clips on the princess, but they look absolutely fabulous and I cannot wait!  It's definitely going on her Christmas list.  I don't have to explain why the $100 giftcard is my favorite (it's $100!!!), but technically it's not a freebie.  It's a "rebate" from signing up with their service.  But since I had to do it anyway, I guess it can be considered a freebie.  Either way, it sure is a "goody" and it came in my Mailbox, so I'm happy!

Since it's getting rather late, I'm going to have to break my word (gasp!) and skip on the freebies.  I will get to them first thing tomorrow morning, so it'll be a double freebie version of Mailbox of Goodies!

In the meantime, enter the Coupons for Troops giveaway (which ends Friday), or the Macy's giveaway!

Mailbox of Goodies: hurry up mail man!

Those of you who are following me on Twitter got the delightful pleasure (not!) of listening in on my my impatient waiting for my Mailbox of Goodies today, but it was well worth the wait.  Amongst other things (like hubby's absentee ballot), I got 4 magazines, a $25 giftcard, a Bounce dryer sheet sample, my 1 cent prints from Snapfish, and an offer for a $10 Target giftcard.

The four magazines that I got were 2 issues of Parents (huh? I got the October AND November issue in the same go), an issue of Family Fun, and a copy of Metropolitan Home.  If nothing, today was a FULL mailbox with those four magazines.  I'm surprised the mail man was able to stuff them in!

My $25 CVS gift card came courtesy of Carrie over at Money Saving Methods.  I subscribed to her blog a while back, and to my surprise I won her September Raffle!  I giveaways!  Make sure you check out the "Giveaways Galore" box on my right sidebar, and don't forget to enter my latest Coupons for Troops giveaway.

I also got my 50 1-cent prints today.  My total after shipping and handling was $3.97, which comes out to about $0.07 each.  That's not too bad, considering I got them in 5 days with a long weekend squeezed in.  Instead of just getting prints of my adorable little girl, I decided to get 25 prints of two 4x6 cards that I designed.  It took me about an hour in photoshop to design the both of them, and I plan to send them out to friends and family for Halloween and Thanksgiving.  I'm going to be using some #10 envelopes I already have on hand, and I will be printing my own address labels and stickers, so my final cost to send out professional-looking photocards to 25 families will be under $15 including postage.  Pretty good deal to me!

My last "freebie" is an offer from the local newspaper.  If I sign up for auto bill pay, they'll send me a $10 Target gift card.  Obviously, I signed up.  I'm currently paying $0.50 a week for 3-day delivery (Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday), and won't be stopping my subscription anytime soon.  The Sunday paper is right up there on the "essentials list" with food and water.

Want to have a huge Mailbox of Goodies like I do?  Well, first you have to sign up for some of the giveaways featured in the "Giveaways Galore" box on the right side bar and hope that you win one of the awesome prizes.  Then, you can sign up for some of the freebies in the "Incoming Freebies" box.  If you're not up for the uncertainty, you can always sign up for some of my "Received Freebies", if they're still available.

Don't get discouraged if you don't find a flood of freebies in your mailbox - it takes a bit to get on all of the different mailing lists.  Not to mention that some freebies take a good month or two to get to you.  When they say 6-8 weeks...they mean it!

Mailbox of Goodies: the squished edition

UPDATE: Oopsie...it seems like I jumped the gun - I have now updated the post with a listing of new freebies!  Sorry about that...I'm getting rusty after my break, sorry!

Due to my impromptu vacation, I've neglected my freebie roundup and Mailbox of Goodies this weekend, and I got some pretty cool stuff too!

It was an unexpected $6 payday, courtesy of Caregivers Marketplace. I got $3 from the three packs of Huggies jumbo packs that I bought back in August during the CVS sale, and the other $3 came from old fish oil purchases. I just realized that they give $1 back for Nature Made fish oil, and since the dogs take a fish oil tablet with each meal, I just went through my old receipts and dug out 3 of them to send with the Huggies rebate.

The only free sample that I got was the XCID Ultra, but there's nothing special to report since it didn't even come with a coupon. My best freebie of the week has got to be the free photobooks that I got from Shutterfly. I won them through the Quaker Life Cereal sweeps that I learned about from Freebies 4 Mom. The prize was for one free photobook and one free shipping credit, but for whatever reason I ended up with 3 free photobook credits and 2 free shipping credits. I sent one photobook to my mother-in-law, and I ordered two for myself. They arrived via UPS and I didn't have to pay a single penny for them!

Mailbox of Goodies

MAIL CALL!  I got three freebies today.  The first was my Quaker Simple Harvest bar.  Except that I didn't get to try it.  Because my husband has the day off due to technical difficulties at work and he thought it would be funny to let our 5 month old hold it while he took pictures.  It was funny because it looked like she was eating it...until it broke in half and the puppies grabbed it, and then took the other half of the bar out of her hands.  So, if you want to know what it tastes like, ask Chloe and Chip.  Punks.

Next is my Knee Pain Relief packet from Synvisc.  It's a great packet with an informational packet and a DVD...except it doesn't really work for me because it's for people with osteoarthritis.  I just tore a ligament from a sports injury, so it's the wrong type of knee pain relief packet.

My last freebie is my copy of Pink magazine.  Not sure where I got it from, but it's great and I love it!  Oh wait...I have another freebie too.  I got a set of address labels from the American Heart Association.  Except that I don't remember requesting these, and they spelled my name wrong.  Oh well, can't complain too much about free stuff.

I'm feeling particularly lazy today, so only three freebies: 2009 Unity Calendar, K2 Skis Bandana, & Walmart's Stayfree/Carefree sample.

Mailbox of Goodies

I had an okay Mailbox of Goodies today.  My Walmart sample of John Frieda Luxurious Volume came with a $1/1 coupon. I also got an envelope of Huggies and Pampers diapers coupon from a freecycler, so it wasn't too bad of a day.

The strangest thing though is I received another Free DVD & Pedometer from Tylenol.  I only remember submitting my request once, and besides...the companies generally discard duplicate requests anyway.  Even stranger is that I received it under the same name too.  So now I have two pedometers.  Maybe it's the Mailbox Faeries telling me that my husband needs to get fit with me (as if...the guy can only run a mile and a half in under 10 minutes).

Here's a new batch of freebies for you to request.  Please keep in mind that I am experiment right along with you when I request these freebies.  Sometimes they make it to my Mailbox in less than a week, and other times it takes them 2 months.  And sometimes they don't appear at all.  If you're looking for a safer alternative, I suggest you look under the "Received Freebies" list under the "Incoming Freebies"
Enjoy the freebies!

Mailbox of Goodies: the early edition

UPDATE: I've added on my Mailbox of Goodies for the day - nothing too exciting, just a whole bunch of coupons.  The most "exciting" piece of mail is a letter from Sears Portrait Studio giving me 3 free portrait sheets in exchange for being more than a week late with my pictures.  Not too exciting, considering I would much rather have my pictures than give them another opportunity to screw up.

Today is Wednesday, a.k.a. Chloe class day. Chloe class days are extremely hectic because we're always in a rush to eat dinner and get out the door. My husband comes home around 6:30pm, and we have to be there at 7:45pm.

Except this Wednesday is even MORE hectic, because my husband has duty and won't be able to go with us. Which means the baby will have to go to the babysitter, and to give you an idea of what a world-ending event this is...she is never away from me. I think she's been without me for a total of 6 hours since she was born. She's been there once before, so maybe it'll be better this time.

And it just gets better...because I have three doctor's appointments (2 shots and 1 actual appointment) this afternoon, along with a couple of errands to run. And it's raining too. And Chloe is a rain-phobic dog who outright refuses to go into the rain for anything - food, potty, toys...if it's raining, she ain't going out.

Mail has not been delivered yet, but at the rate that I'm going I might not have a chance to go through my mail until 10pm tonight, but I wanted to let you all know so you don't think that I abandoned you or my Mailbox. When I get a chance after mail is delivered, I'll add my goodies on. So for now, feast on your freebies and utter a quick prayer for my sanity today.

It's not a superb day for freebies, but here is a Snuggle Fabric Softener Bundle that promises to be a good find.
