CVS revisited

No, I didn't go back to CVS.  2 stores in one day is enough for this week.  But like I promised in my CVS planning post, I'm going to re-work my transactions this week for the $5 CVS Challenge.  It's important to me to do a $5 CVS Challenge post every week, even if I don't personally carry it out.  I do transactions to suit the coupons and ECB amounts that I have on hand so it may not work out to being under $5 every week, but the items still end up going to the USO because our household cannot possibly use up all the stuff that I buy.  I also do the $5 transactions because I think it's a good way for CVS newbies to start out and a good refresher course for "old-timers" to get their OOP down.

Anyway, without further delay, here are my $5 transactions for the week:

Buy 1 Adidas Deodorant: $4.99
Buy 2 Crest Pro-Health Toothpast ($2.99 each): $5.98
Subtotal: $10.97
Use $2/$10 CVS coupon (-$2.00)
Use $1/1 Adidas coupon (-$1.00)
Use 2 $1/1 Crest coupon (-$2.00)
Grand Total & OOP: $5.97 + tax Yes, I know I went $0.97 over, but stick with me here...!  I'm not perfect!
ECBs returned: $4.00 (Adidas) + $4.00 (Crest) = $8 ECB

Buy 5 Gatorade/Propel (5/$5): $5.00
Buy 1 Nivea for Men: $4.99
Buy 1 VO5: $0.65
Subtotal: $10.64

Use $2/$10 CVS coupon (-$2.00)
Use $1/1 Nivea coupon (-$1.00)
Grand Total: $7.64 + tax (use $8 ECBs from above - find something to fill up the $0.36 overage, or you can get another VO5 and pay the $0.29)
OOP: tax (or $0.29 + tax depending on which option you picked)
ECBs returned: $4.99 Nivea

It's not the best week for the keeping under the $5 cap, considering a lot of the money-makers or free after ECB items are high value this week, but it's still better than nothing!  I'm just grateful that I was able to get diapers for $0.09 each, so I really can't complain too much.  Besides, my OOP this month for CVS is a mere $6.15, but I've gotten such superb deals.

Could you save the one page and e-mail it to me? I don't know if that would work, but it would be awesome! I have a bunch of kid-related coupons... I'm trying to give them to someone who will use them. Are you interested?
