Toys R Us - nearly free body wash

Our little princess started swimming last Friday, and I decided to go to Toys R Us this weekend for one of those baby boats. They had a whole bunch in their end-of-summer clearance sale, and I found one for $10.48. This is far from $25 for me to use the $5/$25 coupon, but I also had some $1.50/1 Huggies bath & body product coupons. At the end of the day, I managed to get the baby boat and five lotions/body washes for $12.86 after all my coupons. I will be going back next weekend to get $2 back, because they also had a store promotion of $2/3 baby bath products, but the clerk forgot to scan that in-store coupon.

Just to give you an idea of my savings, the body lotions and wash came out to $2.40 after the $5/$25 coupon. After my $1.50/1 coupons, I paid $0.90 for each Huggies lotion or body wash. I don't know what they come out to per bottle once I get my $2 back, but all I know is after I get $2, my total will be $10.86, and the baby boat was $10.48 to begin with!

We also bought a stationary entertainment center for the little princess, and so far it's working out great. It's so PINK though - even the box was pink. We bought the Evenflo Exersaucer Tea for 1-2-3 for $59.98, but I have a 20% off any baby item from Babies r Us. It's valid 9/19 - 9/25, so I was not able to use it yesterday, but they assured me that I can just come back during those days to get my $12 back. It will then come out to less than $50 for a brand new entertainment center. $50 is still a bit expensive for a baby toy, but I currently have $40 from Inbox Dollars, and another $6 from Survey Spot, so it won't affect our budget too much.

I am a tad bit disappointed in myself for purchasing something so pink though, but it was just too cute and at too great of a price to pass up. When I was pregnant we wanted to be surprised in the delivery room, so everything we purchased was gender neutral. And even after she was born, we decided to go gender neutral with everything except clothing, so we have the option of reusing it should the next baby turn out to be a boy. Well, you can't get more girlish and pink than that Exersaucer!
