UPDATE: The CoverGirl Clean Liquid Makeup is printing out $5.79 ECBs, and the CoverGirl LipSlicks are just $3.39! Read all about it here!
Normally I never do my scenarios this early, but I need to go on Monday since most of the manufacturer's coupons that I'm using expires 9/30. I know that there'll be identical copies in the P&G Saver coming out on Sunday, but if I go on Monday and use the ones that expire 9/30, I can save the P&G ones for later in the month.
Transaction #1
Buy 2 CoverGirl LipSlicks ($3.99 each): $7.98
Buy 1 Sunsilk creme or styling aid (2/$7): $3.50
Buy 1 Sunsilk shampoo or conditioner (2/$7): $3.50
Buy 1 magnetic clothespin: $0.25 This is a filler item...I'm 2 cents under $15, and I don't think I can find a filler item for cheaper. I've gotten these the past two weeks at CVS so hopefully they'll still be there. They're really useful too!

Total ECBs left for next time: $10.49
Total ECBs spent: $12.00
I'm not going to be able to grow my ECBs this week, just because there aren't too many good deals at CVS lately. It's getting harder and harder to "make" money by matching ECB items with coupons, so my main source of "income" in my transactions are the $/$$ coupons. Granted, getting the coffee probably didn't help, but we need coffee (again). It's actually not too bad of a deal on coffee if you break it down. The commissary sells the big 34.25oz coffees for $6.99, which is roughly $0.20 per ounce. However, since the CoverGirl is free after ECBs and I can "make" money from the CoverGirl coupon and the $2/$10, I end up spending $2.48 on a total of 22.6oz of coffee. That's $0.10 per ounce.
CVS doesn't exactly sell "cheap" stuff, but I end up getting a lot of non ECB/deal items there simply because after $/$$ coupons and overage from ECB/coupon match-ups, some items (like the coffee) end up being cheaper than buying them at the commissary.
