Last week's menu plan turned out to be pretty decent. Everything except the lettuce wrap and burritos were new recipes, and they all turned out decent enough for me to want to make them again. I even managed to sneak in a very healthy amount of veggies into everything. My new favorite though has got to be chicken with lemon and capers - yummmmy!

It's a surprise!
I must say, menu planning has been a big help in keeping within our budget. Last week I was only $3 over our budget, but I also bought a lot of non-food once-in-a-while items like fabric softener, baby wipes, and cleaning supplies. This week's shopping list is all of 8 items long, so I don't think it will be hard to stay within our $50 budget.
