Check your emails for a $5/$30 CVS coupon that's good for ONLY Labor Day. If you don't get it, don't fret, because there's always the $2/$10 coupon that will give you MORE savings and you can use any day until 9/28. Normally I do my CVS deals later in the week, but I have a $1/1 Covergirl coupon that expires 8/31/08, so I will have have to make a trip out tomorrow morning.
These will also be my $5 charity challenge transactions for the week, with everything but the coffee going to the USO again.
Transaction #1
Buy 2 CoverGirl Wetslicks ($5.99 each): $11.98
Buy 1 Colgate Toothpaste: $2.99
Subtotal: $14.97
Use $2/$10 CVS coupon (-$2.00)
Use $1/1 Covergirl Product coupon from 8/3 P&G (-$1.00)
Use B1G1 Covergirl lip product from 8/31 P&G (-$5.99)
Use $1.50/1 Colgate coupon (-$1.50)
Grand Total: $4.48 (use $5 ECB after a $0.50 filler item)
ECBs returned: $5.99 (CoverGirl) + $2.00 (Colgate) = $7.99
Transaction #2
Buy 1 Colgate Toothpaste: $2.99
Buy 1 BC/Goody Headache Powder 6pk: $1.29
Buy 2 Folgers coffee ($3 each): $6.00
Subtotal: $10.28
Use $2/$10 CVS coupon (-$2.00)
Use $1.50/1 Colgate coupon (-$1.50)
Use $1/2 Folgers coupon (-$1.00)
Grand Total: $5.78 (use $5 ECB, pay $0.78 + tax OOP)
ECBs returned: $2.00 (Colgate) + $1.29 (Headache Powder) = $3.29
Merchandise total: $25.25
Total OOP: $0.78 + tax (used $10 ECBs)
ECBs left for next time: $11.28
The BC/Goody Headache Powder 6pk is supposed to be an unadvertised ECB deal, so I figure I'll give it a try. These deals will probably change once I get to the store, because Kiss or Broadway artificial nails are buy 2 get $5 ECB, and on the ad it says that prices start at $1.99. It's a potential money-maker!
