Mailbox of Goodies

After my #*@!(!! day (yes, it has been escalated from "Grumpy" to "#*@!(!!") at least I had a somewhat decent Mailbox of Goodies waiting for me.  I got an issue from my free Parenting magazine subscription, a Lancaster Cellular Elixir sample, and a free poster from the Museum of Science and Industry.  I can't seem to find the link for the poster request again - sorry!

It was also a small payday, since I got my $1.99 Excedrin rebate check, and my $3.99 Spot Shot rebate.  I bought the Excedrin at CVS with a $2/1 printable, so it was a moneymaker.  The Spot Shot is also a moneymaker since I bought it during a double coupon day at Kmart.  It was $3.99, so after my doubled $1/1 off I paid $1.99 for it.  This brings my total extra "income" for the month up to $76.76.

My last goodie came as a result of the Amazon.com Huggies mess.  I don't even want to think about the amount of time that I wasted on the phone with Amazon.com and DAB Nutrition (the merchant), but the last time I was on the phone with DAB Nutrition, they offered me a product as compensation.  I really appreciate it even though I really don't have a need for 14 bars of soap, but you can't buy my business.  The thing that surprised me the most was that they didn't even bother to write a quick "sorry" note to include in the package.  But okay...whatever.

I've already ranted and steamed for the day, but coming up this week (when I'm not busy force feeding my child), I will be writing out a summary of what happened with the Amazon.com Huggies mess and the recent Target Britax fiasco, and I will be telling you what you can do about it if you're in the same boat.  I KNOW I'm not the only person that they did this to, so if we just all band together and submit the same complaint to the same places...someone will listen.  Companies need to get the message that it is NOT okay to falsely advertise a product and trick their "valued customers".

Check out my Freebie Frenzy post of the day, as well as my recently updated incoming freebies list and received freebies listing.

I just read this post and saw your line about force feeding your child. I did not mean to sound rude in my other comment. I hope your not sensitive to that. She truly is beautiful and precious!
