Wordless Wednesday

Hey Chip. She's 5 months old. She can't even crawl yet. She can't throw your stinking ball for you. If all of your 10 brain cells weren't constantly occupied by your 24/7 ball obsession, you would realize this too.

Chip needs a ball intervention.

That is so cute! We have a golden retriever like that...with the ball obsession. I told my husband we need to put the baby in a tennix ball suit and then we'd have a great baby sitter because if she snuck away he'd go fetch her!

That is such a sweet shot. My Dog (not five months old) would bring his toys to our baby too. I think he was sharing or thought she was a puppy and needed to play or something. You're so blessed to have such a kind dog.

Kim: We don't have to do the tennis ball suit thing. He's part sheltie. He tries to herd his boxer/rotti sister all the time. He's probably herd the baby when she starts walking.

Patricia: Have you been sneaking into our house? That's ALL he does, and he always looks at us w/ those eyes. The only time he doesn't want to play ball is when he's sleeping, and then he sleeps with the ball in his mouth.

Jamie: I'm not sure he's so much "kind" than "needs help immediately". I can say with 100% confidence that he's only giving her the ball because daddy's at work & I don't do the whole throw-ball-60-times thing.

Thanks for leaving the comments, everyone!

My dog does this to Zoe, and She'll walk over to the ball and as she almost picks it up he grabs it and runs off with it. She used to chase him, but now she's like, oh well.

This is a really cute picture. My sons want a puppy so bad. I told them that when they get a little bit older I would think about it.

Shynea: Have you thought about fostering? You can basically give doggy-parenthood a test drive before you make the commitment. You can also do a couple of fosters to figure out what type of dog will be the best fit for your family (big, small, young, old...etc.). And worse case scenario, if you really get all that overwhelmed with the dog, you always have the rescue organization to pack you up and place the dog in another foster family if it comes to that.

Just something to think about!
