I FINALLY got a response from Lysol regarding their $5 rebate purchasing 2 Lysol products and taking your kid for a checkup. I first shared this rebate with you on October 17th, when I bought my Lysol products from Walgreens. I was wondering about the "2 different Lysol products" part - as in does it mean 2 different types (sanitizing spray & household cleaner), or 2 different products (sanitizing spray in scent A & scent B)? Also, since we don't pay anything OOP for our doctor's visits, we also don't get a bill, so I was wondering about whether or not a proof of visit would be enouhg. Here is the email that I received from them (only 2 weeks later!):
Dear [My Precious Pennies],Questions answered! The rebate is valid until 3/31/09, so I'm sure there will be PLENTY of Lysol sales between now and then that will make this into a small money-maker. I'm aware that not everyone has no co-pay for their doctor's visits, but a checkup is something you've got to do anyway, rebate or not...so you might as well get some free Lysol products (if you buy during a sale) and some money for it!
Thank you for contacting us regarding our Lysol® $5.00 Pediatrician promotional offer. Please accept our apology for the delay in responding your email.
In response to your inquiry, you may submit a dated original cash register receipt for two different fragrances of the same product. Additionally, it is not necessary to submit a bill from your pediatrician, any form of proof of the office visit will be accepted.
We appreciate your interest in our products and we hope this information is helpful.
Sincerely,
Nora Flynn
