Coupons for Troops

It's getting to be that time of the month again - time to go through your coupon stash and pull out all of your expired coupons! Military families overseas can use your expired coupons at their commissaries to help with the ridiculously high cost of food overseas, so don't trash those expired coupons! For mere pennies, you can send a batch of coupons to them and help some military families out!

If you have an unused non-expired coupons, you can also send those as well. Some bases only have an Exchange (read: overpriced general department-like store), and the Exchange does NOT take expired coupons. The military families at these bases are in dire need of our unused unexpired coupons!

For more details and answers to your questions, you can check out my Coupons for Troops FAQ. If you're interested in seeing batches of coupons that I've sent overseas in the past, you can see my archive of Coupons for Troops posts.

Toni over at The Happy Housewife has graciously shared with me some emails that she has received from recipients of those coupons:
"Just got the first envelope filled with coupons! It was like Christmas! I already separated out those that I would share with my dog owner friends (we have cats). Can’t wait to use on trip to NEX on Friday."

"Thank you and to all your readers! The coupons are awesome! I am sharing. Several of us ladies are getting together and taking a hop to Yokota to shop for holidays. The commissary will mail our boxes free if we shop and pack for them. We are excited to get to use even more of the coupons!"

"I just wanted to say thanks again for all the coupons you’ve sent. I finally found some other mom’s who are “addicted” to coupons too and we’re loving all the savings. Most shopping trips I save enough in coupons to cover the SIR charge and a good (usually $5 because we have sooo many groceries) bagger tip."
For the cost of a first-class stamp, you have the power to make someone's day. There's really no reason to NOT do it, so head on over to the Coupons for Troops FAQ now and find out how you can start helping!
