Review: Successful Living magazine

I received my first issue of Successful Living magazine, and I must say that it is one of the better magazines out there.  And best of all, it's absolutely free.  With articles like "Stressed Out? 25 Ways to Slow Down" and "Live Your Best Life", the magazine is geared towards a wide variety of audiences.  The magazine is made up of five main sections: Daily Inspirations, Health, Relationships, Prosperity, and Success Stories, with an average of three articles per section.  The average article is 2 pages long and is extremely well written, providing enough information without overwhelming the reader.

My favorite article in this issue is "Ready, Set, Slow" from their Health section which talks about how to slow down in our society's obsession with rush and "Time is money" attitude.  I'm a big rush-er and constantly need reminders to stop and smell the flowers, so this was the perfect article for me.  This is kind of ironic, because what I really like about the magazine's layout is that they have clearly defined section headings and highlight proper phrases to give you a good idea of the article if you're rushing through and don't have time to read the whole thing.

One of my favorite features of the magazine is the "Pay It Forward" section, which basically highlights a charitable cause.  This issue's highlight is on the Race for a Cure.  There aren't many magazines out there that dedicate a full 2 pages and an article on a charitable cause...normally most you'll get is a small box next to a product promotion.  I'm also very appreciative of the fact that there are no ads whatsoever in the magazine except for on the covers, because I personally hate it when I have to skip a couple of pages just to continue reading my article.

I would gladly pay the cover price of $4.95 for an issue of Successful Living for their useful and relevant articles.  It's a joy to read it from cover to cover, and each article disperses general enough tips that I can take and apply to my life.  It just makes the magazine that much better when I can get it for FREE!  Treat yourself to a subscription today before the their limited time offer runs out!
