Y'know how I said I didn't get a Mailbox of Goodies yesterday? Well, apparently I did. My husband went outside to put out a letter out at night, and found a Fiber One honey clusters sample in the mailbox. Apparently the mailman forgot to drop it off on his first round and had to double back.
Anyway, today I had a considerably larger mailbox. I received my free subscriptions of Parenting and Good Housekeeping. I also got the Baby's First Food Book that I ordered from PaperBack Swap. I still have a few credits left over on PaperBack Swap...so I'm starting to think about using that to take care of a couple of gifts for Christmas.
Before I get to the free samples, I want to share a special offer. We bank with Navy Federal and I received a mailing today stating that they are having Youth Week for 9/22 - 9/28, and any kids that visit a branch will receive a free gift by just visiting. Also, if you have kiddos under age eight, you can enroll them in Navy Federal's Kids Club, and once their account reaches $50 they will earn a Sammie the Sea Otter plush toy. We have a Navy Federal right on base and I have to go to the bank anyway, so I'm planning to take the baby in for their free gift and also to find out what their Kids Club is all about. We're putting away money each month towards her savings, but it's currently in our general ING savings account and it would be nice to have a separate account for her that grandparents can deposit money into.
As for the free samples, I received my Benefiber single-serving sticks and Pond's Clean Sweep facial cleansing towelettes today. They sure took their sweet time in coming, because these two freebies are near the very bottom of my list to the left. I've made a change to the list of freebies on the left in accordance with some of your suggestions - I've taken to putting the date that I received the freebie after the listing, and every week on Friday I will go through a remove them to cut down on the clutter.
Here are some new freebies for the day:
