Nothing really all that amazing to report at Walgreens and if I didn't have to use up my RRs from the Robitussin deal I probably wouldn't go at all this week. But since I still have $20 to blow, I decided to stop by on my way to CVS this morning to use up $5:
Buy 2 2000 Flushes (2/$5 sale): $5.00
Buy 1 Snuggle dryer sheets: $2.99
Subtotal: $7.99
Use 1 Snuggle in-ad coupon to make it 2/$4 (-$0.99)
Use 2 $1/1 200 Flushes coupon (-$2.00)
Grand Total: $5.00 + $0.56 tax (use $5 RR)
OOP: $0.56
And since it's under $5, I might as well make it my charity challenge scenario for Walgreens. Like I said, it's nothing amazing. I actually have a $0.25/1 Snuggle product coupon that I could have used, but I didn't feel like trolling the store to find a $0.25 filler item. My time and energy is a lot more valuable to me than 25 cents, especially when I'm fighting off a cold.
I ended up with $5 in RR because on one of my transactions the system thought I only bought two instead of three and spit out $5. The manager stepped in and printed up an addition $5 in RR to make my total RRs the correct $10. It actually works out for the better because I don't know how I would have been able to do a $10 transaction.
As of right now, I still have $15 in RR (one $10 and one $5) to spend before Wednesday. I plan to use $10 to buy a huge 5ft loofa dog for Chloe, and the other $5 I'll probably just blow on coffee or laundry detergent or something. Unfortunately, they expire on Wednesday so I can't use them on Friday to double-dip on my EasySaver rebates. If you have any $5 deal ideas, please let me know...!
