Although our kitchen is completely unpacked, I decided to declutter the measuring cups and our cooking utensils. We have so many scattered measuring cups that it was driving me crazy - so I freecycled all my loose ones and spent $2 at the Dollar Tree for new sets. Our cooking utensil drawer was also overfilling, so I decided we do not need two, or sometimes even three, of everything and put that into my freecycle pile as well. Also going into the freecycle pile are our pot holders, oven mitts, and kitchen towels - they were mismatched and discolored from many uses, so I opted to spend $5 for a brand new matching set instead. I also spent another $3 for some different colored cleaning cloths that's for the kitchen only, so that way we don't get our cleaning cloths messed up. I don't want to be wiping the floor with a cloth, and then get confused and use it for my counter-top! For a total of $10, my kitchen is now matching and I no longer spend 5 minutes rummaging through the drawers while cooking. I think it's a good deal.

what a great idea to get rid of potholders, tea towels that dont match and buy a matching set.I am going to have to that too. Thanks for the idea.
