Today I'm tackling the upstairs freebie dumping ground supply closet. The closet in the old house was a LOT bigger, so there was a fair amount of pressure to fit everything into this closet. I thought I wouldn't be able to do it, but careful searching around the house for the right size containers finally did the trick. And here is the end result:
Notice how all of my boxes are "trash" boxes - basically shoe boxes or old shipping containers. With very few exceptions, I will not go to the store to buy rubbermaid bins. I've found that they never quite fit where I want them to, and there is an extremely limited selection. With these "trash" boxes, they cost nothing at all and come in every shape and size imaginable.
We are getting a bit full, but we go through things VERY quickly because my husband keeps a set a work now, so I'll still be taking advantage of when CVS pays me to "buy" their things.
