Coupon Cravings is having a $5 Charity Challenge, and I thought I'd try my hand at this. One thing that has always bothered me about CVS is how high my totals are, even if I do end up paying for all of it with ECBs. I might be bad at this, but at least no one can say I didn't try!! And to make things worse, since I already went to CVS this week, my scenario will be even more off since I reached all my limits, but here goes.
Buy 1 CVS Brand Mouthwash: $2.49
Buy 1 Colgate Total toothpaste: $2.99
Buy 1 Listerine Antiseptic 500ml bottle: $?.??
Buy 1 Cascade Crystal Clear Rinse Aid 8.45 oz: $?.??
Coupons
1 $1/1 Colgate toothpaste
1 $2/1 Colgate toothpaste (CVS)
FREE Listerine Antiseptic
FREE Cascade Crystal
FREE CVS Brand Mouthwash (CVS)
Total OOP should be under a dollar since you're pretty much paying just the tax. Okay, so I sort of cheated by picking items that I had coupons for to get for free, and my two Colgate coupons gives me a cent overage. But hey, it's not my fault it's so easy to get free stuff!
To make the deal even sweeter, grab a few filler items to make your total reach $10, and then use the $2/$10 CVS coupon.
I love CVS...
