Walgreens DD results

Today I stopped by Walgreens to carry out my two transactions, and this is what I have to show for it.  My total OOP was $39.59 on my rebates giftcard, with $22 back in RR and I should be getting $34.46 back via rebates.  My total return for these two transactions will be $56.46, so that's a profit of $16.87.  My estimated profit was $24.08 though, but a couple of unexpected things popped up.

I expected the chemistry hair care to be $7.99, but it turned out to be $9.99.  Same thing with the Lypsyl - I expected it to be $1.99, and instead it was $2.99.  I'm not sure how this will affect my rebates.  Depending on how they turn out, I might be returning these items.  Technically, they're still "free" after my $5/$20 coupon savings, but the truth of the fact is I just have too much of this stuff!

The St. Ives unadvertised RR deal turned out just fine, so I'm optimistic on the my invisible rebate items showing up as well.  I know for sure that the Lypsyl will show up since I've already purchased one, but that rebate came up for $2.99 and I'm not sure if I'll get $2.99 back for this one as well.  When they weren't invisible the Lypsyl had a value of $3.99.

If non of the invisible rebate items show up, I will be taking the L'Oreal, Chemistry, Nivea, and Lypsyl right back to the store.  We'll see.

In the meantime, for those of you who are interested, here is the breakdown of my two transactions:

Being paid $17 to take over $100 worth of stuff is a pretty sweet deal, but I have to admit that I am still disappointed with the DD days.  The only actual double-dipping that I'm doing is with the Lysol (this week's sale + November's rebate) - everything else was just a regular monthly rebate combined with weekly sales and a $/$$.  Don't get me wrong, it's a great run and a great time to go WAGging (yes, that's a technical term), but it's just not a DD day for the record books.

Anyone else went double dipping today?  I'm interested to see what others have done with their $/$$ coupon!
