Walgreens Scoresheet

This is my EasySaver rebate total for September. $85 heading my way, and it'll go onto my existing $20 customer service giftcard. I think I'm going to be set at Walgreens for a long time with a $100 gift card. I'm very tempted to just request a check for $77, but I'm viewing it as an investment since I will probably not have to spend money at Walgreens again for at least 6 months.

This month I spent a total of $57.96 at Walgreens, but that doesn't represent just the EasySaver stuff. That includes my RR deals as well. And before you ask how I made $27 profit, let me confess that most of this stuff was bought during Double Dipping days last month, meaning that the bill for that was on my August budget. I spent $61.36 in August (no double dipping for the August ESR), but my August rebate was a check for $22.75, so in reality I'm only $96.57 in the hole. It seems like a lot, but that is all of my Walgreens spending since I started Walgreen-ing. And again, this includes my RR-deals as well.

I've spent at least $20 playing the RR deals, so I definitely made a profit - what the exact amount is I'm not really sure. But even if I didn't make a profit, getting all of that for free really brightens my rainy day.

That being said though, I still like CVS a whole lot more. I am getting $85 back from Walgreens, but my OOP expense for CVS this month is only $7.00, and I'm currently the owner of $25.78 in ECBs. Of course, you can't forget the actual stuff that I got at CVS this month on top of my $25.78 "cash" of ECBs. I've been CVSing about 3 months longer than Walgreens, so maybe it's just a matter of practice, but somehow I can't shake the feeling the CVS is cheaper and easier to work than Walgreens.

That's my thinking too. I will always find something to buy at Wags & the GC doesn't have an expiry date. AND I don't have a CVS :(
